Jonathan E. Brandes, P.G., Vice President / Senior Geologist

 Jonathan Brandes has a Bachelors of Science in Geology and Geophysics from the State University of New York at Fredonia and is a registered Professional Geologist.  Mr. Brandes has over 14 years of professional experience in environmental consulting.  His expertise is in project management, groundwater monitoring, site characterization, geographic information system (GIS) and data management.  Mr. Brandes utilizes Arcview^â GIS and Microsoft^â Access Database as tools to help efficiently manage environmental data. Experience has shown that a properly maintained project GIS/Database is a long term cost savings.

 Mr. Brandes has great communication skills and has a proven track record of maintaining excellent working relationships with clients, regulators, co-workers and subcontractors. He has been a key member on large projects requiring multiple consultants and contractors working together to efficiently complete project objectives. Mr. Brandes is an experienced project manager having successfully managed projects in excess of $700,000.

 Some of Mr. Brandes’ additional experience includes preparation of work plans, sampling and analysis plans, quality assurance plans, health and safety plans and reports. His broad field experience includes drilling and well installation, direct push drilling, cone penetrometer testing using ROST^TM, many types of sampling techniques, conducting GPS surveys, surface and borehole geophysical logging, and operation and maintenance of water treatment and AS/SVE systems.  Mr. Brandes has additional experience in construction oversight of AS/SVE systems, geosynthetics installation and contaminated soil remediation. Mr. Brandes is 40 hour OSHA HAZWOPER trained, OSHA HAZWOPER Supervisor trained, and has had incident investigation, line supervisor and audit safety training.  Mr. Brandes has substantial experience working in hazardous conditions utilizing training, personnel protective equipment, air monitoring devices and various air sampling techniques to ensure worker safety.  Additionally, Mr. Brandes has had Bridge Training which is designed to train professionals to properly relate, communicate and manage third party situations involving environmental projects.
